Visited yesterday. Will definitely come again. Had the journey menu, pork belly and lamb. They also provided the first 4 courses of the discovery menu as a pleasant bonus. Food was amazing. Service was amazing. Great venue. Great staff.

A lovely restaurant. Food was exceptional as was the service. An excellent wine list with a knowledgeable sommelier. We truly enjoyed our time there.

Second time at the restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. It was a mini honeymoon as we got married the day before. We went for the wine flight too and was served by Luke(?) who was very interesting and served some incredible wines. Flora (we think that was her name!) was our server and she was exceptional. And finally, the food was just brilliant and so so tasty. It felt a bit like having the best food we've had in ages in a family home type vibe, so lovely was the atmosphere. Obviously it cost and arm and a leg, but it's really worth it and you must have this kind of restaurant experience at least once if you're able to, especially for a special occasion, or if someone else if paying! Thanks again for making the effort with the flowers, personal menu etc. It meant a lot! Cheers, Dave and Chloe.

Simply outstanding! The tasting menu was fantastic, set in a wonderful ambience. The food was superb, and we thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary lunch. The service was equally lovely. We will gladly return and have already recommended it to friends. Our favorites today were the pork belly, the brill, which was expertly prepared, and the pressed shoulder from the lamb dish, a true standout. Thank you!

Absolutely exceptional food and service. It was a carefully created experience and the team were wonderfully attentive and thoughtful throughout our time there. Whilst each course was fantastic, the venison, in particular, was remarkable. I couldn't recommend it enough.

A great place for a special occasion - lovely food, wonderful service and a great atmosphere. We especially loved the scallop, pork belly, venison, oh and the beef snack (pic 4)! My only small feedback is the portion sizes were very small (and we have eaten at a lot of Michelin restaurants), but it's sort of to be expected (I will never understand why though!), and the courses came a bit faster than we wanted. Listing bread as one of the courses also didn't seem quite right. But overall a great experience and we would recommend it for a special occasion.

The service was amazing, the people were knowledgeable, friendly and just made you feel amazingly welcome. Food was excellent, my favourite was the lamb and the fruity dessert. Wine tasting also went brilliantly with the food as you would hope, my favourite was the last wine which was a dessert wine.. which given I don't have a sweet tooth but my top picks include desserts and dessert wines tells you a lot. They also took note that it was our anniversary and a few little extra touches was just amazing Would recommend, great food and service that makes you feel welcome and looked after like a star..

Went to Sorrel on my birthday and the experience and food were exquisite. The balance and pairing of flavours were bang on point. I had the Discovery tasting menu with the wine pairing. Fabulous choice of wines with the dishes. The opening snacks are exceptional. The jammy dodger was a delight as was the beef croquette. The salt baked beetroot was divine with the creamy cheese and toasted sesame seeds singing in the background. The pork belly with raspberry and coffee was inspired. The venison dish with the ox tongue with the marrow was a savoury knockout! The cheese dish which is supplementary is worth it! Apricot gel, amaretti biscuit, roscoff onion and a creamy like Brie was sensational. The Waldorf dessert was a splendid and delightful twist. Finishing with a creamy and dreamy dessert with chocolate, pistachio and olive oil. Love the dining room. If you are tall like me, be mindful of your space, especially the toilets. The music, well the chef clearly grew in the same era as me with some nostalgic choices from the early Britpop era. Added to such a relaxing and laid back atmosphere. Antonio who served us for the evening was knowledgeable and a joy to speak with as was the sommelier. Loved his enthusiasm for the wine. Thank you for having us and giving me a wonderful birthday experience. Totally worth a special trip for. in the words of Arnie, “I’ll be back!”
